Jesus Alvarez

As managing director of Herbalife’s Mexico market, Jesus Alvarez is responsible for all business, strategy, sales and marketing functions across the region. Mr. Alvarez helps the company and Herbalife Independent Distributors deliver on their purpose of helping people live their best lives and building Herbalife into the premier health and wellness company, community and platform.

Immediately prior to his current role, he was vice president of sales and events.

Mr. Alvarez began his career at Herbalife in 2011 as director of ethics and compliance, a role in which he was responsible for the implementation and enforcement of member rules and guidelines. Subsequently, he took on the additional responsibility of corporate communications, government relations and scientific affairs. Two years later, he was promoted to senior director, leading the team with an additional focus on social responsibility.

Mr. Alvarez has over 30 years of experience in the direct selling industry, having held a number of senior roles with major companies, such as Amway, where as general manager for Mexico, he successfully implemented an ambitious transformation initiative resulting in significant growth in the market.

Mr. Alvarez is fluent in English and Spanish.
