Gary Small

Biography
Dr. Gary Small is a member of the Herbalife Nutrition Advisory Board. He also serves as chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Medicine at Hackensack University Medical Center and as physician-in-chief for Behavioural Health Services at Hackensack Meridian Health, New Jersey’s largest and most comprehensive health system.
Previously, Dr. Small was a professor of psychiatry and ageing at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.* He was also the director of the division of Geriatric Psychiatry at the Semel Institute and the UCLA* Longevity Center.
Named one of the world’s top 50 innovators in science and technology by Scientific American, he has been at the forefront of research on age-related cognitive decline and mental illness. Dr. Small has authored over 500 scientific publications and has appeared frequently on “Today,” “Good Morning America,” PBS and CNN. He has co-authored 12 popular books with his wife Gigi Vorgan, including the New York Times bestseller, “The Memory Bible.”
Dr. Small is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society, a summa cum laude graduate of UCLA* and an Alpha Omega Alpha graduate of the Keck School of Medicine of USC.
